There are probably only a few households on Earth that plow through more energy, protein, or sport bars than ours. If they sell it, odds are we’ve tried it. Favorite brands include LaraBar, Clif, PowerBar, Balance, and we try others on occasion. However, even with the almost limitless choices out there, I still tend to get bored.

Seeing an obvious gap in the market for made-to-order bars, YouBar offers a nice selection of ingredients from which to choose. Check off the desired ingredients on their website, place your order, and hand over your $40 (for 12 bars) and you are in business. However, at $3.33 per bar, they are more than three times the cost of a ClifBar. Customization does come with a price.
