Congress Approves Ban on Toxins in Children’s Products
Despite a lack of support from President Bush, Congress has approved a ban on toxins in products designed for children. Set to go into effect in six months, the new law will ban three types of phthalates. If you like a bit of toxins in your goods, don’t worry, as the ban doesn’t take effect until after the holiday season and you can still get your fix of phthalates in products ranging from shampoo to perfume.
